Pack Them a Personal Fan
Even a small fan can provide welcome relief on a hot day. Pack your kids a mini handheld fan, either battery or operated or traditional and let them cool themselves when it’s a little too hot in the classroom or playground.
Pack Them a Mister Bottle
A small spray bottle filled with water can be used to refresh hot skin. Pop one in your kid’s lunch bag along with an ice pack to keep their food and mist bottle cool. Let them know they can spray their faces, arms and legs with the water whenever they are feeling a little too hot.
Pop a Frozen Yoghurt in Their Lunch Bag
Frozen yoghurts are healthier and melt slower than ice pops, so pop one in their lunch bag for a refreshing summer treat. Make sure you keep the yoghurt frozen with an ice pack and inside a well insulated lunchbox. Or, let the yoghurt melt slowly and by lunchtime the yoghurt should still be nice and cool.
Tie Long Hair Back
A good tip for young school children at any time of the year is to keep hair neatly tied back. When hair is up and out of the way it will help keep your little one cool.
